Philosophy
Akose believes architecture begins with understanding the person who will live in the space. The ambition is simple, to create Architecture that reflects people on their own terms.
Human Centric
Every project begins with the person, not the building.
Understanding how someone actually lives shapes the spaces we create for them. Their routines, relationships, needs and aspirations become part of the architecture.
Empathy
Good architecture listens before it designs.
Empathy in design is neccessary. It is about looking beyond what is said in a brief to understand the life behind it. The details that make a space personal, meaningful and truly theirs.
African Authority
African identity is not an aesthetic layer added to a design.
It is part of the foundation, Design should respond to African ways of living, gathering, hosting and relating, rather than asking African lives to fit into inherited ideas of space.
Creativity
There is always another way to see it.
Every project is an opportunity to question the expected, explore new possibilities and find a response that is both considered and distinctly its own.
